April is not the cruelest month, Mr. Eliot. Memory and desire both triumph in the balmy rains and springing green of the rice fields and Easter hymns.

ImageMy new cottage is also green and much closer to LeDoux, nestled in azalea-filled woodland sprinkled with garden statuary and fire-ant mounds. Moving is cruel in any month, though I used to welcome the chance to assess my habits and cull my belongings. As an Air Force child and peripatetic college student, I had lots of practice and traveled light. Now, with the passing of time and changes in life patterns, I have collected more things yet lost the capacity to lift, load, and transport them. Is it time to…downsize?  If you’re interested some acquiring some Mission-style furniture or an electric push lawn mower, let me know. (I’m keeping my piano and library.)
